What is Super Golden Blend™??

It's been a long time coming and boy am I so excited to FINALLY share what has basically been my baby for the past year with soft marketing, sampling, tweaking the recipe, experimenting, creating recipes, packaging and labeling, certifications, permitting.. you name it!

 

SO what is Super Golden Blend™??

 

What started out as a smoothie blend has now exploded into an all purpose culinary blend and I am so excited to share it with you!!

 

This super food blend is a mixture of turmeric, ginger, cinnamon, maca, ground flax seeds, ground chia seeds, and black pepper AND a whole lotta love! Whewwwww!

 

I call this my Classic blend. I do create custom blends for those that are sensitive to any of the base ingredients. All of them are seriously so simple in nature but dense with compounded healing benefits! 

 

This blend aids in inflammation, stress, weight loss and immunity, to name a few. It's anti-viral, anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, anti-oxidant, adaptogenic and of course it's anti-inflammatory

 

Since Inflammation is said to be the basis of chronic illness and autoimmune disorders, together these ingredients create a potent anti-inflammatory blend. I use this blend every day in at least one drink and/or meal. Because I felt relief after consistent use I needed to share this with everyone! 

 

I love using fresh ingredients as much as possible but using an organic concentrated fresh powders are convenient, cost effective and definitely do not lack. I could add in tons of different superfoods but I always drift back to these, they're traditional!!

 

Here's a run down of these delicious and nutritious ingredients!!

 

 

Turmeric

 

Turmeric is the first ingredient I began incorporating into my diet when healing myself of fibromyalgia first began. The main active ingredient in turmeric is 

curcumin, curcuminoid, a powerhouse antioxidant and anti-inflammatory paired with it's brothers bisdemethoxycurcumin and demethoxycurcumin. These are said to counteract the factors causing coronary and autoimmune diseases with the primary factor being inflammation and oxidative stress. Turmeric also aids in irritable bowel, digestion, acne, cancer, and alzhiemers and strengthens the immune system. [1]  Black pepper is also said to boost the absorption of curcumin [6]

 

 

 

Ginger

 

Ginger is known for it's antioxidant and antiinflamatory benefits as well as therapeutic compounds. It is used to treat bacterial and viral infections, easing inflammation, reducing joint an muscle pain, regulates blood sugar, reduces nausea, stomach ulcers, menstrual symptoms, cancer growth, weight loss, and digestion to name a few. [2] It's an incredible boost for our immune systems. 

 

 

Cinnamon

 

Cinnamon is a traditional medicine and dubbed one of the most beneficial spices on earth with it's antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial, and immunity-boosting properties, including potential cancer and heart disease-protecting abilities along with cholesterol and blood sugar. [3]

 

 

 

Maca

Maca is another superfood ingredient and is widely known in Ayurveda, an ancient chinese medicine, for it's adaptogenic qualities that helps your body naturally adapt to stressors, which in turn eases inflammation. It is also used to assist in sexual health, balance hormone levels, improve energy, mood and memory, and with it's antioxidant properties prevent conditions like heart disease, cancer and diabetes by preventing oxidative stress and cell damage. [4]

 

 

 

 Flax and Chia Seeds

 

 

 

Flax and Chia Seeds are considered one of the most powerful plants to ward against inflammation. These little guys promote optimal health with their dense nutrients, omega 3's and omega 6's. Also known for their hormone balancing compounds, fiber, and calcium. Flax seeds need to be ground or chewed well for maximum benefit and digestibility. Chia seeds do not need to be ground. Both can be used as "eggs" due to their gelatinous property.    [5]

1/2c mango 

1 banana 

1tbs coconut oil and/or coconut butter
